Hanover Presbyterian Church, 174 E. Main St., Hanover, will host a prayer service at 5:30 p.m. on Thursdays, Feb. 19 to March 26.
Philip Gulley, a Quaker pastor, writer and speaker from Danville, will stop by Village Lights Bookstore for a reading and book signing at 2 p.m. Gulley will also be the guest preacher at 10:30 a.m. March 8 at the First Christian Church, 512 W. River Valley Community Church, 2535 Clifty Drive, will celebrate its third anniversary at 10 a.m. March 8 with pastor Cleddie Keith of Florence, Ky. A meal will follow the service.
The Hoosier author and Quaker pastor will lead the worship service at 10:30 a.m. March 8 at the First Christian Church Disciples of Christ, 512 W. Main St. A reception will follow in the fellowship hall.
Prince of Peace Catholic Church will present Rev. Robert Barron’s newest study program focusing on the Old Testament in a six-week workshop on Sundays from Feb. 15 through March 22. The sessions will begin at 11:30 a.m. in the Pope John XXIII Elementary School cafeteria.
Trinity United Methodist Church, 412 W. Main St., will show a video of the church’s historic bell tower and attic at 11:30 a.m. on March 8, following the 10:30 a.m. worship service. The video includes an area in the top of the sanctuary for ventilation that can be opened with ropes and pulleys.
St. Stephen’s African Methodist Episcopal Church, 210 W. Main St., Hanover, will host the Louisville, Ky.-based gospel acapella group at 3 p.m. on March 8.
The Jesus Clothes Closet at Trinity United Methodist Church, 412 W. Main St., is open every Monday from 9 to 11 a.m. with free clothes for infants to adults. Use the church’s Main Street entrance. Closed on holidays which fall on a Monday.
Christ Episcopal Church, 506 Mulberry St., will host a community Lenten worship service at noon on March 11. The guest speaker will be Laura Meier. Lunch will be served in the church fellowship hall immediately following the service.
