Grimes designated Certified Municipal Clerk

Leatha Grimes of Carrollton, Ky., recently earned the designation of Certified Municipal Clerk from the International Institute of Municipal Clerks Inc.
Grimes currently serves as the city clerk in Carrollton.
The International Institute of Municipal Clerks Inc. grants the Certified Municipal Clerk designation to clerks who complete demanding education requirements and who have a record of significant contributions to their local government, community and state, a release said.
In light of the speed and drastic nature of change, lifelong learning is not only desired but a necessity for local government officials to keep pace with growing demands and changing needs of citizens, International Institute of Municipal Clerks President Brenda Cirtin said in the release.
The International Institute of Municipal Clerks was founded in 1947 and has more than 10,000 members throughout the United States, Canada and 15 other countries.
