Gov. Eric Holcomb has appointed fellow Hanover College alum Elaine Kops-Bedel to serve as president of the Indiana Economic Development Corporation.
As the state’s lead economic development agency, the IEDC focuses its efforts on growing and retaining businesses in Indiana and attracting new businesses.
“Elaine’s bold leadership and extensive experience as the owner of her own financial consulting company will be great assets to promote Indiana’s positive business climate and jobs magnet reputation,” Holcomb said in a release. “I look forward to working alongside Elaine and Secretary Schellinger as we continue to grow the state’s economy and take Indiana to the next level.”
Kops-Bedel, a 1974 Hanover grad, is the CEO and president of the Indianapolis-based Bedel Financial Consulting Inc.
