KDH is one of seven Indiana hospitals on the list. Others are Henry County Memorial Hospital (New Castle), Major Hospital (Shelbyville), Marion General Hospital, Memorial Hospital (South Bend), Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center (Jasper), and Schneck Medical Center (Seymour).
The release of this year’s Top 100 Rural and Community Hospitals is a part of the 2017 Rural Relevance Study: Vulnerability to Value, from the Chartis Group. Hospitals named to the list are top performers in managing risk, achieving higher quality, securing better outcomes, increasing patient satisfaction, and operating at a lower cost than their peers.
