Madison Dream Team pulled for Special Olympics

The Madison Dream Team participated in the Special Olympics Plane Pull Challenge on Aug. 17. The annual event is the Special Olympics largest one-day fundraiser.
The fundraiser challenges teams to pull a 164,000 pound Boeing 757 aircraft the farthest. The Madison Dream Team pulled the airplane 12 feet in 6.6 seconds. The team was made up of staff from Madison Correctional Facility, Madison Juvenile Correctional Facility, and three central office staff.
According to a release, 79 teams raised more than $180,000 this year, with the Madison Dream Team raising $4,500.
