The Christian Academy of Madison is hosting a dinner and show Friday.

Christian Academy play coordinator, Carissa Hershberger, said the school will host dinner starting at 6 p.m. in the school's gymnasium.

Following the meal, the school will put on two short plays. Florence Nightingale will be the first production, then - following a 15 minute intermission - the students will put on a production of Ann of Green Gables.

"Each year we choose a play and try to highlight a different inspirational character in history," Hersberger said about the production of Florence Nightingale.

"And Ann of Green Gables is a timeless classic."

The two plays along with the intermission should run around 90 minutes, Hershberger said.

The cast is made up of third-graders through 10th-graders, with some of the faculty filling out the older roles.

Hershberger said much of the cast is made up of returning students, which has helped with working with such a wide range of students.

"Every year they take what they learned from last year's plays and add on to it," she said.

Tickets for adults cost $10. Tickets for students, from kindergarten through 12th-grade are $8. The plays are open to the public.

The cast list for both plays include Katie Gosman, Sydney Whitham, Pastor Josh Hershberger, Maddie Boldery, Annamae Harmon, Carissa Hershberger, Morgan Miller, Mia Kummer, Amber Shafer, Anna Gosman, Maddie Felts, Faith Marcum, Sally Back, Ashley Gosman, Meagan Gosman, Brianna Humphrey, Lauren Perry, Olivia Miles, Luke Carter, Brayton Humphrey, Nick Perry and Katelyn Sorenson.
