Apple Tree Studio, of Bedford, Ky., will have its work featured throughout November at the Carroll County Public Library, 136 Court St., Carrollton, Ky.

Apple Tree Studio was established in 2001 by Vickie Eldridge, a local art teacher, after meeting several people looking for a place to create artworks.

"I love working with the children and can't imagine a week without them, but I was missing the interaction with adult art students," Eldridge said on Apple Tree Studio's website. "I also wanted a place to paint, draw and create handmade books."

Eldridge offers classes at the studio - two oil painting classes, one watercolor class and several children's classes. Eldridge also teaches a color theory and a principles of design class.

Apple Tree Studio also hosts weekend workshops in marbling paper and silk scarves, handmade books, two day slab-built pottery classes, drawing, handmade paper quilts and traditional basketry.

Eldridge, a Georgia native, moved to Kentucky in 1997.

On display in the library's community room alcove will be artwork from the art classes of Corie Edens at Carroll County High School.
