Christmas has come to Madison. This weekend will feature a variety of Christmas and holiday activities to enjoy around town with the family.
On Saturday, Gallery 115 will hold a reading of the classic Christmas story, "A Christmas Carol."
The reading is scheduled for 4 p.m., and there will be hot chocolate and cookies provided. Admission is free.
The Brown Gym will host the annual Christmas Craft Fair on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The craft fair is hosted by the Madison Parks Department, and proceeds go toward programing at the Madison Senior Citizens Center.
The craft show will feature a variety of vendors selling their holiday crafts.
There will be a live nativity at the Broadway Fountain from 4 to 6 p.m. on Saturday.
The Broadway Fountain will also feature carolers beginning at 5 p.m. The carolers will sing classic Christmas songs until 6 p.m.
The Nights Before Christmas Candlelight Tour of Homes will continue this weekend, with tours beginning on Friday evening from 5 to 9 p.m.
There will also be tours offered on Saturday from 3 to 9 p.m. Admission is $15 for adults and $5 for children aged five to 15.
The dinner production of "Dashing Through the Snow," a holiday comedy, will be presented by the Madison Community Players at the Madison Elks Building.
Performances will take place Dec. 5, 6, and 7 at 6:30 p.m.
Tickets for the dinner theater performance are $30 per person. Reservations are required. For information, call (812) 493-3357.
Tickets include the show and a full buffet with roast beef, baked fish, vegetables, salad and non-alcoholic beverage. A cash bar will also be available.
