Jay Benzing, of Patriot, returns as this month's featured artist at the downtown Art On Main Gallery.
Benzing, who paints in watercolors, will have his work displayed for the entire month.
The monthly event is sponsored by the Madison Art Club, which operates the gallery.
Benzing has had his work in the gallery before and was a featured artist for August 2013. Many of his works focus on older buildings and nature scenes.
He taught art in Boone County, Ky., for 30 years before retiring 16 years ago.
Each month, the Madison Art Club selects at least one member - it has about 90 members - as the featured artist for the gallery.
The Art on Main Gallery at 309 W. Main St. is open Monday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday from noon to 4 p.m. The gallery is closed Wednesday.
