Concert-goers are in for a unique experience this weekend as a local venue hosts a Louisville duo.

Rannygazoo, also known as Abigail and Gregory Maupin, will perform as part of the latest in the Red Bike Revue series. The concert event begins at 7 p.m. Friday at Red Bicycle Hall.

The husband and wife, inspired by jazz music and prohibition era Americana, are the latest subjects of the Revue hosted by David J. Loehr. The night will include two performances, each of which will become its own podcast episode.

As they have in the past, the performance will follow a radio show style and include original commercials and commentary.

Loehr said that after several of the Revue shows have been recorded, they’ll be available online on iTunes and at www.theincomparable.com.

Due to some of the humorous lyrical content performed by Rannygazoo, this weekend’s show is recommended for adults only.

Tickets are $8 in advance and $10 at the door. For more information or to purchase tickets, visit www.redbicyclehall.com.
