The daffodils on the grounds of the Lanier Mansion survived the cold weather that rolled into the Courierarea over the weekend. They’re going to have to endure a few more days with snow/rain mixes predicted for tonight and Tuesday. The Indiana Department of Transportation is monitoring several weather forecasts, and the latest information from the National Weather Service predicts snow over the next 72 hours ranging between wintry mix in southern Indiana and up to 8 inches in northwest Indiana. About half of Indiana’s 92 counties are under a Winter Weather Advisory, mainly in northern and central Indiana. But, it could be much worse. A storm, dropping as much as 18 inches of snow, is predicted today for the New York area.
