A Beatles tribute band from Louisville will play the final Backyard Concert Series performance at General Butler State Resort Park in Carrollton Saturday.

The Rigbys, formed by a group of five veteran musicians, began playing together because of their love for the Beatles' music and the influences the Beatles had on the musicians themselves.

The group performs a variety of music from The Beatles', from 1962 through the solo careers of individual band members, their website said. The Rigbys perform everything from the swinging '60s sound and pop ballads to dance and Rock and Roll.

Performers include Mark Beyer on keyboard, Gary Metcalf on guitar and vocals, Troy Clampitt on guitar and vocals, Rick Boone on bass and vocals, and Duane Smith on drums.

The Rigbys have performed at several area events, including Abbey Road on the River in Louisville, as well as at International Beatles festivals and other concert venues.

All of the family-friendly Backyard Concert Series concerts at the General Butler State Resort Park, 1608 KY 227, are free for visitors. The concert begins at 7 p.m. on the Butler-Turpin State Historic House lawn located at General Butler park. The concert is expected to last about two hours.

Organizers encourage visitors to bring their own chair for the performance, although there will be limited seating on the lawn.

The Rigbys' appearance at the park marks the final performance of the 2013 Backyard Concert Series for the year. A new schedule for the 2014 season will be announced at a later date.
