Violin Virtuosi: The Hanover College Community Arts Series will present Violin Virtuosi at 7:30 p.m. Jan. 18 in Fitzgibbon Recital Hall in Lynn Center for Fine Arts. Senior Dance: Will be held Friday by the Madison Parks Department at the Brown Gym featuring the music of Tommy Day and Cool Country. The doors open at 5 p.m. Music begins at 6:30 p.m. Admission is $3.50 per person.

The World Comes to Madison: The Seifert-Short Museum and Learning Center, 113 E. Third St., will display nativities and crèches from around the world during the holiday season. The museum will be open from 1 to 4 p.m. Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays in December and January. Free admission.
Lou Knoble: Paintings from the 1960s and 1970s by local artist Lou Knoble will be on display during January in the front showroom at Art on Main, 309 W. Main St. The gallery is open Monday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday from noon to 4 p.m.
Book of Hours: Texas-based artist Jill Bedgood's ehibit "Books of Hours: Interventions" runs through February 20 at the Greiner Art Gallery in the Lynn Center for Fine Arts on the Hanover College campus. Gallery hours are Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. The gallery is also open during events in the CFA and performances in the Fitzgibbon Recital Hall.
Twilight Breaking Dawn Part 2 (PG13): After the birth of Renesmee, the Cullens gather other vampire clans in order to protect the child from a false allegation that puts the family in conflict with the Volturi.
Wreck-It Ralph (PG): A video game villain wants to be a hero and sets out to fulfill his dream, but his quest brings havoc to the whole arcade where he lives. The animated movie stars the voice talents of John C. Reilly, Sarah Silverman, Jack McBrayer, Alan Tudyk and Jane Lynch.

Broken City (R): In a city rife with injustice, former cop Billy Taggart seeks redemption and revenge after being double-crossed and then framed by its most powerful figure: Mayor Nicholas Hostetler. The film stars Mark Wahlberg, Russell Crowe and Catherine Zeta-Jones.
The Last Stand (R): The leader of a drug cartel busts out of a courthouse and speeds to the Mexican border, where the only thing in his path is a sheriff and his inexperienced staff. The film stars Arnold Schwarzenegger, Forest Whitaker and Johnny Knoxville.
Mama (PG13): Annabel and Lucas are faced with the challenge of raising his young nieces that were left alone in the forest for 5 years ... but how alone were they? The film stars Jessica Chastain, Nikolaj Coster-Waldau and Megan Charpentier.
Gangster Squad (R): No names. No badges. No mercy. Follow the Los Angeles Police Department's fight to keep East Coast Mafia types out of their city in the 1940s and 1950s. The film stars Sean Penn, Ryan Gosling and Emma Stone.
Zero Dark Thirty (R): The chronicle of the decade-long hunt for al-Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden following the September 11, 2001 attacks on the United States culminates in his death at the hands of Navy S.E.A.L. Team 6 in May 2011.
Texas Chainsaw (R): A young woman travels to Texas to collect an inheritance; little does she know that an encounter with a chainsaw-wielding killer is part of the reward.
