Fine Arts Academy Senior Presentation: The Madison Consolidated High School Fine Arts Academy seniors will present a concert of Broadway show tunes and a performance of "The Actors Nightmare" at 7 p.m. April 25.
Tri Kappa Chick Flick Night: The Madison Tri Kappa Beta Omega Chapter will host the annual Chick Flick Night fundraiser. The night starts with a dinner and raffle at the Livery Stable at 5:30 p.m., before moving to a showing of "Midnight in Paris" at The Ohio Theatre at 7:15 p.m. Tickets are $15.
Jefferson County Senior Citizens Prom: Will be held April 25 from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Madison Moose Lodge. The event includes dinner, dancing and door prizes. Live music will be provided by Tommy Day and Cool Country. The prom is for senior citizens age 55 and older. This year's prom theme is Western, "Home on the Range." Professional Wrestling Fundraiser: Shawe Memorial High School will host a family-friendly professional wrestling event April 26. The evening will feature Shawe's own Sweet William Valentine, Steve "The Strangler" Sims, Cutthroat Curt Gardner as they take on "Killer" Kyle Daugherty and Alex "The Axe" Reuss along with Legendary Bobo Brazil Jr. vs Yukon Mike for the AWA Supreme Heavyweight Championship. Tickets are $6. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. with the first match to follow at 7:30 p.m. The event is a fundraiser for the Shawe Memorial band.
Poetry Nights: Village Lights Bookstore will host an open mic poetry event starting at 7 p.m. April 26 as part of Fourth Friday events. Read original works or those by a favorite poet. Madison poet Jill Kelly Koren will emcee the event.
RiverRoots Music and Folk Arts Festival: Will be held May 17-18 at Bicentennial Park in downtown Madison. Music starts at 6 p.m. Friday and at 1 p.m. Saturday. Wristbands are $25 for both days, wristbands purchased prior to April 30 will include $10 in food tickets to use at the event. CAM Dinner Theater: The Christian Academy of Madison will host their spring production dinner theater with "Florence Nightingale - Lady with the Lamp," followed by "Anne of Green Gables." The program starts at 6 p.m. Tickets are $10 for adults, $8 for students, and can be purchased at the school office.
High School Art Exhibit: Art from Carroll County High School students will be on display at the Carroll County Public Library during April.
11th Annual Children's Art Show: The Jefferson County Historical Society, in conjunction with Tri Kappa, is hosting the 11th Annual Children's Art Show at 615 W. First Street. Art from Jefferson County students is on display during April. Regular museum hours are 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.
Harry Elburg: The artwork of Kent resident Harry Elburg will be on display during the month of April at Art on Main, 309 W. Main St. Elburg paints landscapes inspired by the woodlands, farms and streams of southern Indiana. Quartet (PG13): At a home for retired musicians, the annual concert to celebrate Verdi's birthday is disrupted by the arrival of Jean, an eternal diva and the former wife of one of the residents. The film, directed by Dustin Hoffman, stars Maggie Smith, Tom Courtenay, Billy Connolly, Pauline Collins and Michael Gambon.
Oz The Great and Powerful (PG): A small-time magician arrives in an enchanted land and is forced to decide if he will be a good man or a great one. The film stars James Franco, Michelle Williams, Rachel Weisz and Mila Kunis.
Monday Matinee Classics: Will screen the "Carson City Kid" starring Roy Rogers on April 29 at 1:30 p.m. Admission is free.
