'The Wizard of Oz' is coming to Derby Dinner Playhouse

Derby Dinner Playhouse will present "The Wizard of Oz" beginning this week and continuing until Aug. 18.
The classic film will be presented in the Royal Shakespeare Company version of "The Wizard of Oz." The musical will still feature many of the looks and songs of the 1939 Judy Garland film, including "Over the Rainbow," "We're Off to See the Wizard" and "If I Only Had a Brain."
Doors open at 6 p.m. for evening performances, with a buffet from 6 to 7:10 p.m. The play will begin at 7:45 p.m. Tickets for those shows are $40, Monday through Thursday, $41 Friday and $44 Saturday.
For Sunday and Wednesday Matinees, doors open at 11:45 a.m. with the buffet beginning at 11:45 a.m. The show begins at 1:30 p.m. and 1 p.m. respectively. Sunday tickets are $36 and Wednesday tickets are $35.

The production is directed by Lee Buckholz with choreography by Heather Paige Folsom and musical direction by Scott Bradley.
Cast members include: Cami Glauser as Dorothy Gale; Jillian Prefach as Aunt Em and Glinda the Good Witch of the North; Lem Jackson as Uncle Henry, Emerald City Guard and Winkie General; Tyler Bliss as Tin Man and Hickory; Matthew Brennan as Scarecrow and Hunk; Paul Kerr as Cowardly Lion and Zeke; Lauren Leland as Miss Almira Gultch and the Wicked Witch of the West; Jim Hesselman as Professor Chester Marvel and the Wizard of Oz; Brittany Carricato as Ozian; Ellie Chancellor as Tornado; Kayla Eilers as Ozian; Cary Wiger as Mayor and Ozian; Chris Bryant as Coroner and Ozian; Kevin Crain as Barrister and Ozian; Jesse Barfield as Nikko and Ozian; Landy Saavedra and Julian Rivera as Ozian; Christeen Florence, Olivia Manning and Aubrey Claire Hennis as the Lullaby League; Braedan Criss, Hunter Broyles and Dallas Edwards as the Lollipop Guild; and Reese as Toto.
