The work of Stephen Sondheim takes the stage at the Indiana Repertory Theatre this month.

"A Little Night Music," shares a tale of romance and loss that reminds viewers that the best dance is done with a partner you love. The production will be presented Jan. 25 through Feb. 17.

Based on the music and lyrics of Sondheim and the book by Hugh Wheeler, "A Little Night Music" was inspired by Ingmar Bergman's classic film. This Tony Award winner for Best Musical features the classic song, "Send In The Clowns," and stars Grammy-winning vocalist Sylvia McNair for the performance at the Indiana Repertory Theatre, 140 Washington St.

The show will be featured on the Indiana Repertory Theatre OneAmerica Stage throughout its three-week run. The show lasts approximately two hours and 50 minutes.

The cast includes Scott Hogsed, Kimilee Bryant, Daniella Dalli, Daniel Berryman, Cherry Duke, Maggie Williams, Fontaine Syer, Matthew C. Branic, Nicholas Fitzer, Grace Morgan, James Rank, Julie Conuel, Sylvia McNair, Megan McKinney, Glenn Seven Allen and Jacquelynne Fontaine. George Pinney serves as the director and choreographer for the production.
