A warm reception is a sure thing as the Indiana Wine Trail hosts its seventh annual “Souper Saturday” event this weekend.

This year, seven southeastern Indiana wineries will open their doors to offer special soups to pair with their signature drinks.

Locations on the Trail include Ertel Cellars Winery, Lanthier Winery, Madison Vineyards Estate Winery, The Ridge Winery, Stream Cliff Farm Winery, the Thomas Family Winery and the newest addition, Holtkamp Winery and Vineyards in Dearborn County.

From 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, visitors can expect to find soups such as a Southwest coyote soup from Lanthier Winery, Zuppa al Toscana from Madison Vineyards, Indian corn soup from Thomas Family Winery, taco soup from Ridge Winery, ham and cheese soup from Stream Cliff Farm Winery, beef and barley soup or shrimp bisque from Ertel Cellars Winery and white chicken chili from Holtkamp.
