Fireman's Waterball Fight

5:30 p.m. on Main Street

Area firefighters display their skill and stamina while battling in this annual soaking-wet competition. Teams from throughout the area compete. Madison's Fair Play Fire Company No. 1 claimed the title last year for the first time since 2009.

Two teams face off in a soggy tug-o'-war, using the jet spray of their fire hoses to move a large ball suspended high on a cable across the opposing team's marker to win.

The overall champion gets a trophy and bragging rights for a year.
