Senior Dance: Will be held Friday by the Madison Parks Department at the Brown Gym featuring the music of Tommy Day and Cool Country. The doors open at 5 p.m. Music begins at 6 p.m. Admission is $3.50 per person.

Ohio Valley Showcase: Southwestern's Esprit Show Choir will host a spring showchoir showcase all day April 13 in the high school gym. The showcase features choirs from area states. Tickets can be purchased at the door.
One Book, One Community Discussion: Discuss Jean Giono's "The Man Who Planted Trees" from 1 to 3 p.m. April 13 at the Village Lights Bookstore. A short film inspired by the book will also be screened.
Bravo! The President Honors the Arts: Hanover College president Sue DeWine will host the 31st annual "The President Honors the Arts" with a 90-minute stage show April 13 at 7 p.m. in the Lynn Center for Fine Arts. For more information call (812) 866-7110 or visit www.hanover.edu/arts.
High School Art Exhibit: Art from Carroll County High School students will be on display at the Carroll County Public Library. An artist reception will be held at 6 p.m. April 15 with music provided by the CCHS guitar club and jazz band.
11th Annual Children's Art Show: The Jefferson County Historical Society, in conjunction with Tri Kappa, is hosting the 11th Annual Children's Art Show at 615 W. First Street. Art from Jefferson County students is on display. Regular museum hours are 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. An open house and reception will be held from 6 to 8:30 p.m. April 17. Cookies and punch will be served.
Harry Elburg: The artwork of Kent resident Harry Elburg will be on display during the month of April at Art on Main, 309 W. Main St. Elburg paints landscapes inspired by the woodlands, farms and streams of southern Indiana. Gallery hours are from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Saturday and Sunday from noon to 4 p.m.

The Passion of The Christ: A free screening of "The Passion of The Christ" will be held at 7 p.m. April 12. A free will donation to St. Vincent DePaul Food Pantry will be collected. The film is rated R.
Monday Matinee Classics: Will screen the 1921 film "The Kid" featuring Charlie Chaplin at 1:30 p.m. April 15. Admission is free.

Scary Movie V (PG13): A couple begin to experience some unusual activity after bringing their newborn son home from the hospital.
