Senior Dance: Will be held Friday by the Madison Parks Department at the Brown Gym featuring the music of Charlie Humphrey. The doors open at 5 p.m. Music begins at 6 p.m. Admission is $3.50 per person.
Senior Dance: Will be held Saturday at the Lide White Memorial Boys and Girls Club/Family and Community Center featuring the music of Tommy Day and Cool Country. Carrollton First Friday: Will celebrate all things honey in honor of National Honey Month. Children ages 1 to 10 are invited to enter a Honey Boo Boo look-alike contest at 6 p.m. An artist's reception will be held at 6 p.m. the Carroll County Public Library for Jill Mahoney with music from Steven Grant Smith. The farmer's market will open at 4 p.m. The Soap Box Derby has also been rescheduled during the event and will be held with registration at 6 p.m. followed by the races at 7 p.m.
Vevay First Friday: Will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. Sept. 6 with festivities including late-night shopping and dining, live entertainment and free carriage rides. This month will feature the "Lucky 14 Downtown Discovery Game," which encourages visitors to stop at local businesses. Party in the Park: Milton will host the annual Party in the Park Sept. 6 from 5 to 9 p.m. at Milton City Park with a free country and gospel music show featuring Mark Mounce and the Gas Money Band and Kassie and Katie Via with Jeff Joyce. Chelsea Jubilee: The 147th annual Chelsea Jubilee will be held Sept. 6-7 at Chelsea Park. The event includes arts and crafts, music, kids games, food and live music. Friday will feature the Indiana Gospel Music Association Southern District from 4 to 6 p.m., an opening ceremony at 6:30 p.m. and Tommy Day and Cool Country from 7 to 11 p.m. Saturday will include a Saluda student reunion from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. and a tractor parade for lawn and garden, and antique tractors Saturday at 12:30 p.m. There is no entry fee and pre-registration is not required for the tractor parade. Kids games begin at 1 p.m. Saturday with a pedal pull, penny search, sack races, bubble gum contest and a swine rodeo. Bands & BBQ: The fourth annual Carroll County Bands & BBQ event will be held Sept. 6-7 at Point Park. Live entertainment will feature Josh and Holly at 6 p.m. Friday, followed by BB King's daughter Claudette King at 8:30 p.m. Saturday will kick off with the Just Us Band at noon, Tator at 2 p.m., Inner City Blues Band at 5 p.m., Tim Pearson at 7 p.m. and closing with The Doctors Band at 8 p.m. The event is free and open to the public. Reno Gang Rides Again: The Scott County Heritage Center and Museum in Scottsburg will host an event dedicated to the Reno Gang, a group of desperadoes that originated in Seymour Sept. 6-Sept. 8. Trimble County Apple Festival: Will be held Sept. 7-8 in Bedford, Ky. In it's 23rd year, the festival will include a apple pie contest, live music, a quilt raffle, a Sunday worship service and many vendors.

Jill Mahoney: The artwork of Jill Mahoney will be on display throughout September at the Carroll County Public Library. Her work is a combination of drawing and painting with unique display methods. Lee Daniels' The Butler (PG13): As Cecil Gaines serves eight presidents during his tenure as the butler at the White House, the civil rights movement, Vietnam and other major events affect his life, family and society. The films tars Forest Whitaker, Oprah Winfrey and John Cusack.
The Mortal Instruments - City of Bones (PG13): When her mother disappears, Clary Fray learns that she descends from a line of warriors who protect our world from demons. She joins forces with others like her and heads into a dangerous alternate New York called Downworld. The film stars Lily Collings, Jamie Campbell Bower and Robert Sheehan.
Planes (PG): Dusty is a cropdusting plane who dreams of competing in a famous aerial race. The problem? He is hopelessly afraid of heights. With the support of his mentor Skipper and a host of new friends, Dusty sets off to make his dreams come true. The film features the voices of Dane Cook, Stacy Keach and Brad Garrett.
Percy Jackson - Sea of Monsters (PG): In order to restore their dying safe haven, the son of Poseidon and his friends embark on a quest to the Sea of Monsters to find the mythical Golden Fleece while trying to stop an ancient evil from rising.
We're the Millers (R): A veteran pot dealer creates a fake family as part of his plan to move a huge shipment of weed into the United States from Mexico. The film stars Jennifer Aniston and Jason Sudeikis.
