General Butler State Resort Park joins 11 other Kentucky State Parks and thousands of other locations nationwide to compete for the top prize in Coca-Cola's "Take It to the Park" campaign.
The "Take It to the Park" initiative asks park visitors to vote for their favorite park during the campaign that runs through July 15.
The top prize is $100,000 that can be used for recreation projects as part of an effort to encourage people to get out and exercise at their local parks, a Kentucky State Parks release said.
Other Kentucky State Parks participating in the campaign include Barren River Lake State Resort Park, Big Bone Lick State Historic Site, Carter Caves State Resort Park, Columbus-Belmont State Park, Fort Boonesborough State Park, Jenny Wiley State Resort Park, Kentucky Dam Village State Resort Park, Lake Cumberland State Resort Park, My Old Kentucky Home State Park, Rough River Dam State Resort Park and Waveland State Historic Site.
