SCOUTING FOR FOOD
Monday, November 19, 2012 10:00 AM
Area scouts held their annual Scouting for Food in Carroll County on Saturday morning. Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, Cub Scouts, Carroll County High School Honor Society and Key Club and businesses collected about 17,579 non-perishable food items, coordinator Ruth Baxter said.
"Everyone was very generous," she said. "The qualities were good, and a special thanks to Kentucky Utilities Ghent Generating Station for over 3,000 items. We also have school competition which isn't yet complete," Baxter said.
