Two Carroll County men arrested for burglary
Wednesday, December 12, 2012 10:00 AM
Law enforcement arrested two men who police said attempted to take items from Carroll County homes Monday.
Aaron Lee Anderson, 23, of Ghent, and Tharp Dallas, 18, of Carrollton, were arrested after a neighbor reported two men breaking into a home on Mound Hill Road in Carrollton.
Sheriff Jamie Kinman said the residence where the two men were caught wasn't the first home they had tried to burglarize.
"They actually went to a couple of houses on Mound Hill Road," Kinman said.
Anderson and Dallas had approached one other residence in the area, but people were at the home. The men asked for water for an overheated vehicle at the first home before leaving the property.
No one was at home at the second residence and the men went inside, Kinman said. A nearby neighbor called the Carroll County Sheriff's Office to report the crime.
Kinman responded to the scene. The two men attempted to run out the back door of the home.
"They didn't have a chance," he said.
Anderson and Dallas are lodged in the Carroll County Detention Center on charges of burglary.
