Officials with the Jefferson County Sheriff's Department arrested two people Wednesday after a drug investigation.

The investigation resulted in a search warrant for 44 West St. in Hanover, where police found Aaron E. Wilson, 31, and Carolyn D. Wilson, 29.

Sheriff John Wallace said detectives found evidence related to the manufacture of methamphetamine at the residence. They also found two handguns and other drugs.

Aaron Wilson was arrested on charges of possession of meth within 1,000 feet of a park, possession of two or more precursors and possession of marijuana. Carolyn Wilson was arrested on a charge of possession of a controlled substance within 1,000 feet of a park.
