Indiana State Police arrested three men Sunday after allegedly finding drugs during an unrelated investigation.
Troopers were investigating the alleged abuse of an elderly woman Saturday in the 11000 block of Henry Road in Deputy when they discovered drug paraphernalia, according to a state police news release. They found hypodermic syringes, prescription pills and a powder suspected to be a controlled substance, according to the news release.
Mark A. Dean, 52, and Wallace Dean, 44, were arrested on 42 charges of possession of a syringe, a Class D felony, and one charge of possession of paraphernalia, a Class A misdemeanor.
As the investigation continued, officers arrested Tony Eden, 50, of Hanover, on a warrant for a parole violation.
All three men were taken to the Jefferson County Jail. The alleged abuse incident is still being investigated, and police said additional charges might be filed.
