Bridge Project Updates - February 9, 2013

Here's what's happening on the Milton-Madison Bridge Project:
Now that high river levels have begun to subside, bolt-up work is resuming on the new truss.
Timber mats will be placed on the transition span that leads from the new Indiana approach to the downstream bridge.
In the coming months, the focus of the project will shift to the upstream (east) side of the bridge, and one of the Web cams will shift along with it. Web cam 1 will be repositioned to the east side of the bridge. Since the newly-placed camera will provide a view of both the truss demolition and the slide, Web cam 2 will no longer be necessary. Look for the changes to occur this spring.
A section of the concrete deck on the Milton approach is expected to be poured this week.
