The Jefferson County Public Library Board unveiled paintings and plaques that will hang at the downtown and Hanover branch libraries. A plaque with the names of retired board members will hang at both libraries. The paintings by local artists will hang in the meeting room at the main library. Pictured from left are: Sally Wurtz, current board president; and Walter D. Morrill, Mary Kay Butler and Terry Phillips, all former Jefferson County Library Board members. The plaques were purchased by the Friends of the Library and the paintings by current board members. The painting on the left is titled "Stone Bridge at Big Oaks" by Bob Saueressig. The other painting being held by Mary Kay Butler is "Heritage Trail-Clifty Park" by Belva Lowry. (Submitted photo)
