A juvenile was arrested Tuesday after claiming he brought a bomb to school.
A 12-year-old student at Shawe Memorial Junior/Senior High School made the threat just before 11 a.m., according to Madison Police Chief Dan Thurston.
"The statement was made in a classroom and was loud enough for several students and a teacher to hear," Thurston said in a press release detailing the incident.
The school was evacuated and police and Jefferson County Sheriff's Department officials searched the building.
No device was found and classes resumed.
The student, who's name was not released, was arrested and charged with intimidation.
