FINDING HIS GROOVE
Monday, January 21, 2013 10:00 AM
Isaac Rosenbarger, 12, works to find the groove of a crosscut saw while slicing into a stubborn pine tree trunk Saturday during the annual Boy Scout camporee at Camp Louis Ernst near Dupont. About 100 scouts attended a number of lessons that focused on life-saving techniques and outdoor skills. Campers pitched their tents Friday and left Sunday after holding an awards ceremony Saturday evening. In the crosscut competition, each team had 30 minutes to cut four small segments out of the tree trunk. The teams were judged on skillset, team work and peer encouragement.
