SPEAKING OF WOMEN'S HEALTH
Monday, April 14, 2014 11:00 AM
With her daughter, Jill Koren, by her side, Rosie Kelly (top) spoke to an audience of more than 350 people at Ivy Tech Community College on Saturday.
Kelly was honored at this year's Speaking of Women's Health event.
Paula Heiderman introduced Kelly and presented her with an award, saying, "Rosie has been a promoter of healthy eating and the joys of natural foods and has passed that love on to her friends and family. She has battled cancer and has been an inspiration to her doctors, nurses and everyone around her."
After thanking her husband, her children, siblings and the community for all their support, Kelly told the audience, "I am thankful for the power of modern medicine and the power of prayer."
After Kelly's award was presented, keynote Speaker Dawne Gee (bottom) talked to the attendees about her own struggles and triumphs with her health. (Staff photos by Ken Ritchieemail@example.com)
