Juvenile charged in home burglary

A 14-year-old male juvenile is accused of stealing a flat-screen television, Xbox 360 game console and games, and a full keg of beer from a home in the 3400 block of Quail Drive over the weekend.
The burglary was reported at 6:20 a.m. on Sunday morning, and Jefferson County sheriff's deputies later tracked down the juvenile at the Madison Mobile Home Village on East Village Drive.
In the suspect's home, deputies recovered some of the stolen items and then found the rest of the stolen property hidden around the mobile home village.
The juvenile is charged with residential burglary, a Class B felony, theft, a Class D felony, and escape, a Class D felony. The escape charge was added because the juvenile was on house arrest at the time of the incident.
The juvenile was transported to a juvenile correctional facility, where he awaits his initial court appearance.
