A Lexington man died Thursday as a result of injuries he sustained in a car crash earlier in the week.
Shane E. Carter, 29, sustained head injuries and internal injuries after at accident Wednesday night on State Road 3 near Deputy, according to Sheriff John Wallace.
Carter was southbound when he lost control of his 1997 Ford passenger car and slid into the opposite lane and struck a black Jeep Cherokee driven by Jame A. Pugsley, 28, of Jeffersonville, Wallace said.
