The Lide White Memorial Boys & Girls Club/Family & Community Center is preparing for several events during the holiday season.
The club will partner with the Madison Kiwanis Club for an "All-U-Can-Eat" Pancake Breakfast on Nov. 10 at the club from 8 to 11 a.m. Breakfast will include pancakes, sausage, bacon, and juice and milk for $5 per person. The proceeds will benefit both not-for-profit organizations. Tickets are available at the club, River Valley Financial Bank, MainSource Bank, Old National Bank and Farmers Bank of Milton, and from Kiwanis members. Tickets also can be purchased at the door Saturday.
Lide White will celebrate its 58th birthday Wednesday, Nov. 21 with inflatable games, staff challenges, birthday cake and ice cream. The party will run from 3 to 5 p.m. and is sponsored by the Madison Lions Club. Members and their guests are invited.
The club will once again offer a Christmas Shopping Spree for needy children. Applications must be filled out and turned into the club no later than Dec. 14. Children that are current members of the club and in good standing will receive first consideration. Children who are offered other Christmas assistance opportunities through other groups should not apply. The club has been offering holiday assistance since 1959 and is accepting donations toward the program. Tax-deductible donations can be sent to the Lide White Boys & Girls Club Christmas Program, P.O. Box 1128, Madison, IN 47250.
The club will hold its annual Christmas party, sponsored by the Madison Rotary Club, on Friday, Dec. 21 from 3 to 5 p.m. with inflatable games, staff challenges, Christmas goodies, presents and a visit from Santa Claus. Current members and their families are invited.
