Madison Street Department employee Mike Peak works from a bucket truck to attach support wires to the top of the city's Christmas tree Friday. The tree, which weighs about 700 pounds and is about 15 feet tall, was moved to the south end of the Broadway Fountain to be decorated. Pat Heitz of Heitz Sign Co., donated his company's crane for the lift and transportation of the tree. The blue spruce was donated by Jim Rogers who owns a small tree farm on Wray Street, just off Mouser Street on the hilltop. (Staff photo by Ken Ritchie)
