A 5-month old boy was taken to Kosair Children's Hospital with serious injuries after a Madison man allegedly pulled the child by the head during a domestic dispute.
Prosecutors have asked for a 72-hour hold to determine what charges to file against Kevin D. Aldridge, 31. He was arrested on preliminary charges of neglect of a dependent and battery.
According to an affidavit prepared by Capt. Keith Hartman of the Jefferson County Sheriff's Department, Aldridge was involved in a fight with a woman who was holding the 5-month old. Aldridge attempted to pull the child from the woman's arms by pulling on the child's head.
Hartman also reported that at some point during the fight, a neighbor's dog bit the child on the leg and foot.
After the 72-hour hold, Aldridge will be held on a $20,000 cash bond.
