Hoosiers will go to the polls Tuesday to decide several races, from the presidency to local races.
Voting will be from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. Voters must present an identification card to vote. Absentee voting ended at noon today. A full ballot and the location of polling places are available at www.madisoncourier.com under the "Local Choices 2012" section.
There are several county offices that are contested races, including recorder, treasurer, coroner and surveyor. The position of Circuit Court judge is uncontested.
The middle and lower districts for County Commissioners are both contested races. Five candidates are vying for three spots on the Jefferson County Council.
There are eight candidates running for two seats on Madison Consolidated School Board, and two people are seeking two open spots on the Southwestern School Board.
Three races for state representative will be on ballots throughout the county. The state attorney general and superintendent of public instruction races also have two candidates for each race.
The races for president, governor and U.S. senator all have a Democratic, a Republican and a Libertarian candidate.
Two Indiana Supreme Court judges are up for retention, meaning voters will determine whether or not they stay on the bench. Two Court of Appeals judges are also up for retention.
Results of the races will be posted Tuesday night on www.madisoncourier.com.
