Pedestrians, hidden under umbrellas, scurried along Main Street during the heavy rain Thursday afternoon. The common refrain was, "at least it's not snow." But that all changed as temperatures dropped later in the day. The rain turned to sleet and then snow. The area woke up to a light covering of snow this morning along with slick roads. The weekend forecast calls for sunny skies with temperatures topping out in the mid-40's on Sunday. (Staff photo by Ken Ritchie)
