The Madison-Ohio Valley Community Chorus and Hanover College Concert Choir will begin rehearsals Sunday for the annual performance of selections from the Christmas portion of Handel's "Messiah," which will be presented Sunday, Dec. 2.

The chorus will be accompanied by a chamber orchestra.

The chorus, now in its 39th season, is open to anyone who wants to sing, can attend rehearsals regularly, and can learn and perform the music.

There are no auditions for the chorus and no cost to join.

Rehearsals will begin Sunday, Nov. 4, at 2 p.m. in the Fitzgibbon Recital Hall in the Center for Fine Arts building on the Hanover College campus. Rehearsals will be held Nov. 11 and 18 at 2 p.m. and Nov. 25 at 6 p.m. Each rehearsal will last about two hours.

Dr. Madlen Batchvarova, associate professor of music and director of choral programs at Hanover College, will conduct the chorus and orchestra.
