Phase two renovations to the Madison Junior High School natatorium are expected to cost about $1.3 million.
School board members, school superintendent Ginger Studebaker-Bolinger and director of operations Mike Robinson looked at renovation bids from eight construction groups Thursday afternoon. The group chose the lowest bid, presented by Parco Constructors Group, a Louisville-based company that specializes in single-family housing construction. The selection will be presented to the Madison Consolidated School Board on Feb. 13 for a vote.
"This is a complete pool overhaul. A total remodel," Robinson said after the meeting.
The renovations will include new bleachers, flooring and paint to the pool area, along with a complete overhaul to the pool itself. Many of the changes are designed to bring the pool up to code.
