Boil water advisory issued
Sunday, November 17, 2013 8:00 AM
The City of Milton issued a precautionary boil water advisory Sunday due to a main water line break. The advisory is in place for customers on Race Track Road and Queen Lane.
Customers are asked to bring all water to a rolling boil and let it boil for three minutes to kill bacteria or other organisms in the water, or use bottled water. Boiled or bottled water should be used for drinking, making ice, brushing teeth, washing dishes and food preparation until further notice. No contamination has been confirmed at this time, a release said.
The advisory will be lifted with approval of the Kentucky Division of Water when all appropriate laboratory testing is completed.
