Madison

Madison Consolidated High School will host it's annual Veterans Day program Monday. Registration and a continental breakfast for veterans will be from 7 to 8:15 a.m. The ceremony will begin at 8:30 a.m. in the Connor K. Salm Gymnasium.

Southwestern

Southwestern High School will host a Veterans Day program at 1 p.m. Monday. The program will be preceded with a lunch for veterans at noon in the high school cafeteria.

Southwestern High School's National Honor Society and the elementary school's student council have planned the event.

Prince of Peace

Pope John XXIII Elementary School and Shawe Memorial High School will host a Veterans Day program for their schools, veterans and the community Monday.

The ceremony begins at 12:30 p.m. in the Hilary Meny Gymnasium.

Carroll County

Kathryn Wynn Primary will hold a Veterans Day program on Nov. 12 at 9 a.m. in the gymnasium.

Cartmell Elementary will hold a Veterans Day program on Nov. 8 at 9 a.m.

Switzerland County

Switzerland County will host two Veterans Day programs Monday. Switzerland County Elementary School at 1 p.m. and Switzerland County High School will host an event at 1:30 p.m. for high school and middle school students.

Trimble County

Trimble County Middle School will host its annual Veterans Day program Friday at 9 a.m. in the school gymnasium. All community members and veterans are welcome.

Trimble County High School will host a Veterans Day program Monday from 2:30 to 3:05 p.m. The program will recognize veterans and feature a veteran guest speaker and Representative Rick Rand.

Bedford Elementary will hold a Veterans Day program on Nov. 11 at 9:30 a.m. in the gymnasium

Other Events:

Veteran Appreciation Breakfast: The Jewel House, 607 Virginia Ave., will host a veteran appreciation breakfast and open house Monday from 8:30 to 10 a.m. For more information or to R.S.V.P. call (812) 273-0432.

World War II Veteran's Day Presentation: Trinity United Methodist Church, 412 W. Main St., will host veteran Bob Binzer at 5 p.m. Monday. Binzer, a World War II pilot, will share his experiences flying C47s over the Himalayan Mountains. The event will also include food and live music from the era. Donations will be accepted. Proceeds will go towards the purchase of a new sound system.
