Carroll County hospital adds state-of-the-art technology
Wednesday, June 26, 2013 11:00 AM
Carroll County Memorial Hospital's executive leadership team has selected FujiFilm Medical Systems in order to boost its mammography capabilities.
The hospital chose FujiFilm's Aspire HD-Plus for the Women's Health program due to technological features that allow radiologists to see deeper into breast tissue, a hospital release said. The technology shows sharp images of the tissue while offering the lowest radiation dose of any mammography equipment available.
The technology also reduces the length of exam times and increase patient comfort.
The renewed launch of the Carroll County Memorial Hospital Women's Health Program will provide the most advanced breast imaging capabilities in a 170-mile radius, the release said.
An open house to showcase the new equipment and the newly renovated mammography suite will be held at a later date.
