The Madison Parks and Recreation department renewed two yearly contracts at its meeting Wednesday.
The first was a lease agreement between the city and the Jefferson County Soccer Association, in which the city agrees to lease the soccer fields at Rucker Sports Complex from June 1, 2013, to Oct. 31, 2013. The lease is for $1,500.
The second yearly contract was for a campground attendant. The seven-month contract is for $7,372.
The campground attendant manages the campground on Vaughn Drive; is responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of restrooms, storage sheds, mowing and trimming and cleaning trash from the area; and takes reservations and collects fees for camping on the ground.
Stucker said the meeting will be at the Brown Gymnasium, and will state the expectations for summer employees. The deadline to apply is Friday.
"We'll actually send out letters to anyone and everyone that gave us an application," Stucker said.
