Driver, passenger die in Kentucky crash
Tuesday, March 12, 2013 11:00 AM
Two people died in a single-vehicle accident Sunday in Henry County, Ky.
Kentucky State Police dispatchers received a call about a crash on KY 146 around 9:35 p.m. An investigation showed a vehicle was traveling east when it left the road for unknown reasons and struck a tree.
Driver Jeremy Talbott, 35, of Eminence, and passenger Amy Perkins, 32, of Sanders, were pronounced dead at the scene by the Henry County coroner, a Kentucky State Police news release said.
Neither person in the vehicle was wearing a seatbelt, the release said. Alcohol is not suspected to be a factor in the crash.
Kentucky State Police Trooper Zack Morris was assisted at the scene by Henry County EMS and the Lake Jericho Fire Department.
Morris leads the ongoing investigation into the accident.
