Fire damages Milton house
Thursday, October 25, 2012 11:00 AM
Trimble County fire crews responded to a call of a structure fire that damaged the attic and bedroom of a home Tuesday in Milton, Ky.
Fire units received the call at 9:30 p.m., and firefighters found flames coming out of the window of a bedroom when they arrived at 54 Sprague Lane, a Milton Fire and Rescue release said.
Milton Fire Chief Jason Long said a person was inside the house at the time of the fire, but was able to exit before firefighters arrived. No injuries were reported.
The Milton and Bedford fire departments worked for about an hour and a half to extinguish the fire. There was extensive smoke damage in the entire house from the fire that began in one of the home's bedrooms.
The cause of the fire has not been determined, Long said.
