Trimble County, Ky., emergency crews responded to five separate accidents because of icy road conditions Monday morning.
One accident on Peck Pike Road caused a telephone pole to snap in half, Milton Fire Chief Jason Long said. Lesly Gosman was traveling north on Peck Pike Road around 7 a.m. when she lost control of her vehicle and struck the telephone pole.
Gosman was not injured in the accident, Long said.
Emergency crews also responded to four separate non-injury accidents around 7 a.m. in the area of U.S. 42 and Button Ridge Road in Bedford, Long said. Ice on the roadways caused all four of the accidents near U.S. 42.
One of the four accidents involved a vehicle striking a tree, dispatch reports said.
Crews were still at the scene of the accidents Monday morning and no additional information was available at the time.
Milton and Bedford fire departments, Kentucky State Police, Trimble County EMS and Trimble County Sheriff's department responded to the accidents.
