Courier Staff Report

One juvenile was airlifted for medical treatment after a single-vehicle crash near the Midway gas station in Trimble County on Saturday morning.
Emergency crews responded to reports of an accident near U.S. 421 and Reynolds Way around 1:40 a.m.
When crews arrived, they did not find a vehicle but at a nearby house found the individuals involved in an accident, Milton Fire Chief Jason Long said in a release.
Kila Kilby of Milton was southbound on U.S. 421 in a Jeep Wrangler when she went off the left side of the roadway and struck a tree, the release said. Kilby, who said she was ejected from the vehicle, refused treatment.
Three children were in the vehicle at the time of the crash. One child was airlifted to a Louisville hospital for her injuries by Air Methods. The two other children were treated at the scene.
Kilby's vehicle was later located by crews underneath a large cedar tree near the gas station, the release said. The tree had fallen on the Jeep after the accident, covering most of the vehicle.
Milton Fire & Rescue, Trimble County EMS, Air Methods and Kentucky State Police responded to the scene.
