Heavy equipment is now in place and utility lines are being moved in advance of the bridge replacement project that will close KY 36 between Milton and Carrollton for three months. The closure will begin Monday and is scheduled to end on June 1. The bridge at Locust Creek, in Carroll County will be replaced at a cost of $2.6 million and will be funded by the state. A signed detour will be in place during the closure of the bridge. From Carrollton, motorists will be directed from KY 36 to KY 42, then to U.S. 421 and back to KY 36.
