Last chance for Girl Scout cookies
Saturday, April 06, 2013 5:00 AM
The Girl Scouts' annual fundraiser is coming to an end.
Sorry folks, that's the way the cookie crumbles. But don't panic, a local troop is organizing one last hurrah for Madison residents to get their hands on a full supply of Samoas, Thin Mints, Tag-a-longs and other treats.
Girl Scout leader Lindsey Lee, and members of her troop from the Madison area, will hold a sale today at two locations. The girls will be at Lowes on 511 Ivy Tech Drive from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., and Sears at 419 Clifty Drive from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
All Girl Scout cookies cost $3.50 a box. Girls and troops use the money they earn from selling cookies for things like trips, camping and community service projects.
