Wednesday, February 13, 2013 10:00 AM
Madison police arrested a man Tuesday after he fired a rifle in his home. No one was injured during the incident.
Police received a report of a gunshot in the 400 block of Mill Street in the afternoon and located 51-year-old Gerry Gosman. Chief Dan Thurston said officers located a .22 caliber rifle and bullet holes in the walls of the apartment.
Thurston said Gosman admitted to firing the weapon, but said it was an accident.
Gosman was taken to the Jefferson County Jail on a charge of criminal recklessness with a deadly weapon.
